OUR ITINERARY
35 days. 7 continents. 2 crazies.
Here's a brief summary of where we're going and what we plan to do. We want to thank everyone who helped make this trip possible. As you can imagine, planning a trip of this magnitude takes a lot work, so the final plan might be different than what you have seen along the way.

STARTING IN ITALY
December 24 - 27, 2017
We're kicking off our trip with Christmas Eve pasta, then Christmas Mass with the Pope (as we do). Then, we head up to meet Susan and Mitchell (one of Chris's many sets of guardian parents) at their apartment in Lucca for Christmas Dinner. The next day, we head back down to Florence for Saint Stephen's Day, then back to Rome.

PASSING THROUGH CASABLANCA
December 27-28, 2017
We're here for about a day, which gives us just enough time to re-enact a scene from the movie, if either of us had actually seen it. So instead, we'll probably just wander and eat Moroccan food, which Chris has always wanted to try for some totally unclear reason.

NEW YEARS IN DAKAR!
December 28, 2017 to January 1, 2018
We will be checking out the best fo what this West African coastal hotspot has to offer: a trip to Ngor Island for a beautiful sunset dinner, some beach time, an excursion to a cool pink lake, and exploring the local city markets and monuments. We'll also probably head to Goree Island, where the House of Slaves is. For New Years, we'll party it up with the locals on the beach as they watch the fireworks.

DHAKA WITH THE FAM
January 2-5, 2018
This is Chris's first time in Bangladesh, so he's particularly excited. While there, we'll celebrate our wedding (yes, again) with a low key informal get together with some family friends. And as a last minute surprise, Chris's parents will be joining us while we are there! Chris will soak up many Bangladeshi cooking lessons. There also may be a trip out to the village, if there's time.

SINGAPORE
January 6, 2018
So we're only in Singapore for 12 hours, but we plan to make the most of it. Goals: get out for a quick city tour and sample some local cuisine.

PERTH
January 6-7, 2018
So although a large part of our short time here will involve snuggling with a koala, we also plan to make our way into the city, which is supposedly the most remote city in the world.

TASMANIA
January 8-9, 2018
For this one-and-a-half day stopover, our main goal is to get outside the city of Hobart and explore the beautiful landscape, and most importantly, make sure we get to hang out with a Tasmanian devil or two. Though not there long, we'll be making our way to a mountain, sanctuary, and a village.

QUEENSTOWN
January 10-12, 2018
We're here to take in more awesome scenery. Milford Sound is known for being picturesque, and we'll get to take it in through a kayak ride followed by a cruise.

TAHITI/ MO'OREA
January 12 (again)-16, 2018
One of the destinations we're in for a relatively long time, we're going to catch our breadth a little and relax in an overwater bungalow. Oh, and of course, we will be doing a few dives while we're here (Chris's first time!)

EASTER ISLAND
January 16-17, 2018
We'll be on the island for fewer than 24 hours, but it should be more than enough time for us to check out the Moai statues carved by the Rapa Nui.

ANTARCTICA/ PUNTA ARENAS
January 18-21, 2018
This is the coup de grace of the trip. After flying in through Santiago, we arrive in Punta Arenas, at the very tip of Chile. From there, we fly over to King George Island, where we will see, among other things, the first civilian settlement, an Orthodox Russian Church (At Bellingshausen Station), penguin colonies on Ardley Island and the Collins glacier.

CHILEAN PATAGONIA (LITE)
January 21-23, 2018
By this time we're going to be slowing down a little bit, and so we're doing a Patagonia for Seniors version. We'll be traveling up by bus to Puerto Natales, from which we will head to Torres del Paine for a 30 minute to 5 hour hike "at your leisure."Â Basically, more awesome nature--including some great looking glaciers.

SANTIAGO, CHILE
January 23-26, 2018
We then head on to Santiago, where we will spend some time just exploring the city (and eating all the Andean meats). We'll also head out to wine country.

BOGOTA
January 26, 2018
As many of you know, Chris and Nasheed have been to Bogota before, and absolutely love the city (Nasheed: It's basically a cute version of Denver). Last time they went, it was during the holidays, and they were unable to go to the Botero Museum, and more more importantly, could not buy the Botero statute they so desperately want. So what better time than the very end of their trip?
