We could have sat here all day, e’rrr day.

But, unfortunately, we have to leave. Thank you again to Susan and Mitchell for hosting us! We will definitely be back to visit, since there is so much more to see and EAT.

We leisurely wandered around glorious Florence for the afternoon and consumed meats, cheeses, clouds of joy (gnocchi), gelato, and top notch hot chocolate. We also took pictures of pretty buildings and scenery.

Though we’re only 4 days into this trip, Chris’s eyes have already begun to wander. On the train back to Rome, there was a Spanish family seated in front of us, and their top-notch baby began to fuss. So, he made silly faces at her for a solid 45 minutes straight. #Uncle-ing

Though she had absolutely no use for me and only had eyes😍 for Chris, I would have totally borrowed her for 2-3 hours maximum (with a guaranteed return, don’t get any ideas, #LivingMyBestAuntieLife) to change her mind. Later, a random young boy came over to wave at Chris... a couple times. Also, when we were putting our stuff down at the airport lounge in Dulles, a 10 year old yelled across the room to point out to Chris where the computer games are. #😂 We finished the evening off in Rome with a last minute recommendation from a friend (thanks, Enrique!) and enjoyed drinks at a hotel whose fancy rooftop restaurant/bar sits a half a floor above the rest of the city. Since it had been raining, we were served inside, but they let us out to take a a look. Yep, that’s an OK view.
